We are an active duty family stationed overseas in Japan and my children would get plastic slinky's as prizes from school that always broke within one day. I told my kids about the real slinky I had as a child and that it lasted a long time. My kids really wanted a real slinky, so I ordered two of them for Christmas stocking presents. They went over very well and the product was very heavy duty and made to last.

Perfect for squirrel deterrent!
You know that video where someone has a slinky on their tall pole bird feeder and the squirrel keeps dropping down to the ground and can never get into the bird feeder? IT WORKS! After I "laced" this around the pole of my bird feeder, a squirrel happened by a few minutes later, and he took a few looks at the slinky, and ran off without attempting it! I bet anything there's some neighbors who have done similar!

Works well as a squirrel baffle!
Squirrels were launching themselves at my pole feeders from ridiculous distances. This in spite of the fact that I feed them! They seem to be actually baffled by the Slinky, and the birds aren't disturbed. It's amazingly difficult to baffle squirrels. Worth every penny.
